Daylight savings - EPG off by an hour now

I forgot to check the box "adjust for daylight savings" on my PC. Last weekend (I'm in the USA) when we adjusted our clocks forward an hour. Now all my recordings are off by an hour. (so is my EPG). (I use schedules direct).

After researching a bit here in the forms, I tried the following:
-In the config app, on capture tab I ensured that the "replace all" box was checked. (didn't help - schedule is still off by an hour)
- I selected the dump EPG option - that didn't help either. Note - a message indicated that my pending recordings would be deleted - but they were not.

Any suggestions wold be greatly appreciated.

Does the 'update EPG' in the System screen fix it?

Then you most likely dont have your Windows timezone or daylight savings settings set correctly. GB-PVR just askes Windows to convert the Schedules Direct supplied UTC date/times into local date/times, and behind the scenes Windows relies on your timezone and daylight savings settings to determine this.

I fixed this problem earlier today although I noticed a few very strange things. One is that if you simply go to capture sources and click "Clear EPG", it clears everything *except* for your scheduled recordings. They still show up on the actual guide page although the rest of the cells show "no data". Canceling the recording and clearing the guide again didn't help. I live in Eastern (-5) and my time zone is set to Eastern as well. GP-PVR with SchedulesDirect works fine in winter, but in summer the guide always gets shifted. So basically if I *don't* have any scheduled recordings I simply change the timezone to -4 to "compensate" and update the guide, everything is fine after that. After changing the timezone in windows settings it is important to make sure the time is still correct (windows will adjust the hour after timezone is changed, just change the time back). It looks like a dumb way to do this but I'm not sure what effect "automatically adjust clock..." checkbox has on GB-PVR.

Howdy - I believe you may need to get a MS patch for when the US changed the formula for daylight savings...I believe that was last Spring or perhaps the previous Winter change? No one else remembers that?

Actually I g'ed it and it was way back in '07 but I know some people who still haven't run the patch on their PC (and don't do auto updates).

TZedit is the MS utility to change to the new daylight savings time. I'm on the West coast so I have to set the change to occur on the second Saturday at 11pm, the SD guide data changes on the second Sunday at 2am Eastern. Anyway look for TZedit if your clock does not change on the right day, important to read the TZedit help file for instructions.
