sub Wrote:Sorry, I'm not interested in looking at logs for old versions of GB-PVR. If you have the same problem with 1.3.11, post the logs again and I'll see if I can find the cause.

Carpe and Sub, here are more logs involving an "infinite recording". However, I am still using Graphrecorder as one of my tuners. I realise that we haven't established which program may be the culprit, but I thought you might want a quick look anyway.

I ran two tests. In the first, I started Ten HD (with the internal recorder) at 8:05 AM, to run until 8:08 AM. I simultaneously set NIKP (a streaming channel using Graphrecorder) for 8:06 AM, to run until 8:09 AM. The Ten HD recording ran, with the NIKP recording still pending, until I finally restarted the recording service at around 8:12 or so.

I purposely reversed the second test. I set NIKP for 8:15 to 8:18, with Ten HD set for 8:16 to 8:19. The recordings behaved normally when the Graphrecorder-related recording started first.

In past tests, recordings have been truly simultaneous (both set to start at 7:00 AM). I believe that in the successful runs, the Graphrecorder entries happened to start first, and the internal recorder in unsuccessful runs. Sub's theory is that Graphrecorder is grabbing attention after the internal recorder starts, and never giving control back to GBPVR.

Hi there,
I'm having the same problem. It happend for a few days last week and running some anti-spyware and restarting every day or so seemed to fix it. But it just happened again today while recording smallville. It hadn't stopped by 10:30pm. I restarted the recording service and the show stopped, then the Daily Show started recording at at 11:32 it was still recording. So I restarted the recording service and used SlimmGBPVR to generate the attached error report. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi - wonder if sub could have a look at this?

I upgraded to 1.3.11 as requested, and a non stop recording happened again, this time I managed to stop it at 37G - 25 Hours of BBC1, bizarrely it happened same time same channel as my previous post - which is odd.

So two recordings set at the same time Wednesday 4th Feb BBC2 9pm Terry pratchett and Grand Designs 9.00 pm channel 4. The Terry Pratchett continued for 25 hours and the Grand designs finished on time. However when I got to the box (25 hours after) both tuners reported they were recording (Terry Pratchett and Grand Designs) on the system tray and in Recordings - Pending screen.

Stopped the recording service and it all came back to normal.

I was wondering if there was anything screwy in the meta data for BBC 2, using DVBSi from DTT, but by the time I got to it the meta data was gone.

I have attached the logs, any other data you need shout

BTW - awesome piece of software - streets ahead of anything else out there

Thanks for your help

Cheers

The endles recordings are now happening with great regularity, I would say more so with 1.3.11. They seem to be happenning when shows are sequential, and when both tuners are being used simultaneously.

I get a 50G or greater recording every week now, and until someone spots it the box misses all the scheduled recorings.

when it happens the box just records for ever, or until it gets rebooted

the show in question Miracle of the hudson Plane Crash 21:59 19th Feb recorded for 75G, until one of the kids reset the box.

I have removed padding - front and back, see if that has any effect.
I will try to provoke it as I'm at home this week, and can watch it hourly.
Anything else I should try, remove a tuner? reinstall my tuners?

Here are the logs - Cheers

Let me know if there is anything I can try to help debug.

Can you post the full set of logs? Several of the key recording service logs are missing.

Hey thanks for looking, I'll try to get to the box more quickly if it happens again. Sorry for wasting your time.

Keep you posted if it happens again.

No. I've never seen it here, and no one was able to describe steps to reproduce the problem.
