I randomly have an issue where a show records on the wrong channel. (Example: "The Office" is supposed to record and it records a show on FOX instead.) The time and duration is correct and it only happens once in a while. It's like the HDHR is stuck on the wrong channel or GBPVR isn't sending a change channel command. When it happens, I reboot the server and the HDHR. This resolves the issue.

Does anyone else with a HDHR experience this issue?

Next time it happens, post the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and and GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Record time response. It happens so occasionally I never really cared, but it still continues so I should probably figure out what's going on. I'll post the logs next time it happens. Thanks Sub.

I just looked through my recordings. I've recorded 7 shows so far this week and only 1 had the problem. The show was supposed to record CBS, but recorded the CW instead. I have recordings set up to start recording 2 minutes prior and end 3 minutes after the program. Here are my recordings for Monday (the day I had a problem):

Gossip Girl (CW) 7:58-9:03 - Perfect
Big Bang Theory (CBS) 7:58-8:33 - Perfect
How I Met Your Mother (CBS) 8:28-9:03 - Perfect
Two and a Half Men (CBS) 8:58-9:33 - Recorded One Tree Hill (CW)

My assumption is that GBPVR is telling the tuner that is being used for Gossip Girl to record Two and a Half Men, but the overlap is causing confussion. In theory, it should be able to continue using the tuner that was already recording on CBS. The first two CBS shows recorded fine so why wouldn't it continue to use the same tuner for the third show.

Logs are attached. I'm not sure if they're still any good since this was from Monday and 3 shows have recorded since then.

Not sure if this is the problem but once when I was setting up my HDHR during a reinstall, I accidentally remapped 1 of the channels wrong on only 1 of the tuners. It only happened when 2 shows were recording and that particular channel was 1 of the recordings. If thats the problem all you would have to do is check the tuning strings of the channel you thought you were recording and see if it is correct.

I have confirmed that the mappings are identical for the tuners. My question is that if a tuner is already recording a channel, why would GBPVR/HDHR start recording from a different tuner? It should only switch when you are trying to record a different channel.

Sub...Any ideas?

I cant see anything obvious, but can you confirm the right channel tuning infor is above?

Can you post your bda\*.cache files?

The channel tuning info is correct.

I also went into Edit Channel Mappings and clicked on the KYW-DT in the preview for each tuner and it appears to be pointing to the correct channel.

My bda/*.cache files are attached.

What are the local channel names used for CW and CBS?

CW = CW 57
CBS = CBS 3

Is that what you mean?

If it helps, my DirecTV OTA tuner detects them as 57.1 and 3.1 respectively.
