Hi all.
I read the installer for GB-PVR for popcorn A110 nmt and had few questions.
Does the 5 files (telnet, script, etc) need to be at a pc hard drive or PCH internal hard disk. Reason I ask, i followed all steps, put in the ip address of my computer into telnet file and when i click on the installer from popcorn, it says , can not mkdir

Is it trying to install Telnet on PCH? If so, can I install any telnet on PCH like Lundman?

Appreciate any help.

Did you install using the NMT installer in the Dummies guide or did you follow the older and much more diffiucult manual instructions?

I believe it must have been the difficult one, i printed the instructions and it was like 10 pages with the first 2 pages of instruction. doing the share, then modifying files,

where is this easy dummy install please?

Here, http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=38896
When you run NMTInstall, since you have GBPVR installed in the first section you might just want to install the updates if you haven't found them all.

To answer your question you don't need telnet at all, it is only installed for debugging and if you use lundmann's that is fine.

And welcome!

Thanks a lot. wow, it seems much simpler. Just one last question.
Does the installer copy stuff to the NMT , is that why it asks for MAC address?

What if you have 2 NMT's ? Do you run the installer again and give it the 2nd NMT MAC address?
thanks a lot. can't wait to get this running on PCH.

******************************************
For now i put the first NMT mac address, and after few minutes of install, it finished 100%.

I thought it will add a link to sources automatically, but it didn't.

So i added a Network Share through PCH
to
smb://ip of my computer/mvpmc
username: administrator
password: *******

Then I browse and i see the content of the folder, i go to file menu and pick
the GB-PVR.html
and i get a menu that says

GB-PVR
GB-PVRvia Network Browser
GB-PVR via USB

Each one returns error saying
Request cannot be processed. Press Return key to return to previous screen.

If I installed the GB on laptop, then which option is correct,
also what did i do wrong that it returns error on each one.

I think you are close too. I suggest you have a look at this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=40394 where the most common solutions to this problem are discussed.

I feel like i am very close.

I did a few things.
1) I did the renaming of NETWORK_SHARE/hostname:mvpmc/ to just the sharename in PCH.
2) modified startme up and picked NTSC and 1080i
3) did the sharing on windows XP and put username=pch, password=pch,ro

I got the can not mkdir, but I went out and redid it and it worked the 2nd time.

But the big problem is , when i pick GBpvr from the menu of the .html file, i get a blank screen, the the tv mode changes, then another blank screen, about 45 seconds of flashes and blank screens and then the PCH interface turns to Green. If i do Power+eject, the screen comes back as green.
I have to power down the PCH to get rid of the nasty green screen.

Please help me out with this blanking the screen/etc.

How is your monitor setup normally with the PCH? ie HDMI 1080i 24fps
It sounds like you are configuring NTSC over HDMI which you don't want to do.
