not keen on the harmony one at all - it's very slow and although software quite flexible and designed for non techical people, the way everything is based on activities can be quite restrictive.
i've not put away my zalman remote yet and prefer to use that for controlling the GBPVR. i may look elsewhere.
anyone any suggestions of a learning/universal remote without horrible clicky buttons and is an MCE remote + more?
good question - you press a button, brief pause (split second), then movement on screen. if you press, say 4 times in quick succession, you've stopped pressing the buttons before the animation catches up - delay is more emphasised.
when i use my zalman remote (microsoft one), it's instant. also, my previous philips was instant. wish i'd kept it now, even with RF issues..
I do not have mine set up as a MCE remote. I can not remember what device I used but I know you can change the delay for the keys in the advanced setup for your Harmony One.
I looked at my setup today and I have changed my opinion on this. I never really noticed because I have used this setup from the beginning but I do have the same delay in key presses you described above.
to me it seems nothing works as well as the mce remote with its receiver everything else seems a bit sluggish
harmony 525
philips ir sluggish (works well on rf/eventghost but you said you had wake up problems with that)
i'll stick with the harmony one for now as it does what i need (now i worked out 'back' is referred to as the 'prev' button!)
my philips via rf was equally as responsive as the mce remote but software was terrible and was a bit locked down as opposed to the customising you can do with the harmony..
