HVR-1600 Channel Changing

Here's what's happening:

• I can change channels between analog and digital channels from the program guide, but the switch between tuners is very slow.
  

• I can surf from digital to analog channels, but again, somewhat slow.
  
• I cannot surf from analog to digital channels - the screen goes dark or I get analog noise, but no digital channel.
  

The slowness/non-tuning thing only happens when switching between the analog and digital tuner on the one HVR-1600. Any ideas?

It is going to be pretty slow switching between analog -> digital or digital -> analog. This requires the device to be stopped and the graph rebuilt. Exactly how long varies from device to device, and the decoders installed on your machine can also have an impact. I'd expect this type of channel change to take about 7-10 seconds.

I couldnt see this scenario in the logs, but if you reproduece the problem and post the logs, I'll take a look.

Can I shut everything down and delete the logs so only new info is produced or are the logs required for startup?

Just close pvrx2.exe, then restart it, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log.

Okay, if I let it sit long enough, it defualts back to the last analog channel tuned when trying to go from analog to digital. Here are the two logs.

Check your capture source channel numbers. Some of your channels have the incorrect channel numbers. In the example above, 240 is not a valid channel number, so the channel ends up staying on the previously tuned analog channel. Valid analog channel numbers are 1-125.

okay, found it. The digital channels were also selected in the analog channel configuation. It's working now thanks!
