I am putting together a GBPVR client and although my dev PC can watch in client mode the new PC client cannot.
I suspect this is to do with the codecs whats actually on their and the order.
I was hoping some kind soul would give me a clue as to which codec pack(s) I should load and in which order to get the PC client working with both audio and video.

Thanks

The only decoders I have installed on my PC client are the MPV/MPA decoders which I got from here. It keeps it nice and simple if you are just using MPEG.

Thanks guys,

I have installed k-lite standard and that has now got me to the situation where both my DEV and my PC client machines can watch live tV from the GBPVR server using file sharing.
Both remote PCs cannot see live TV when set to Streaming mode. Any clues?
All I get is a black screen for a short time and then returns to the main menu.

The server has a DVB-S card in it for providing live TV (Freeview NZ).

Cheers

If you want to have two PCs accessing live tv at the same time you'd need two tuners available.

What mux are you using for the dvbs? ts mux will only work on streaming with one of sub's latest patches. Otherwise, you will need ati or cyberlink(I think, I use ATI) to get mpeg files. Streaming will only use mpeg files (or .ts with the patch)

I think you've hit the nail on the head, it sounds like I need subs patch. I will try a search but if someone can point me to where it is that would be Soooo useful.

Cheers
