It would appear that the mux frequencies have changed as descibed here ...

http://www.tvforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic...viewresult

and here ...

http://www.nff.org.uk/pdfdocs/digital_switchover.pdf

It may be a rescan using Country --> All Regions is required.

There is more info than anyone could need or understand at ...

http://www.aerialsandtv.com/rowridgetx.html

Good Luck

I think sub got them off the net - not sure.

The attached is an updated ini for Rowridge - I think I got it right but can't test it as I use Crystal Palace.

Cheers,
Brian

For the UK DVB-T ini files, a user supplied them in the very early days of the project. I'm sure they'll be pretty out of date now.

Thanks. I've updated the master files with this.

I'm still dead in the water here after this change on the Rowridge, Hampshire, UK transmitter even with the new 0113.ini file. I get only a small subset of channels or no signal at all when I scan, even with Country: All and Region: All
Hauppage WinTV manages to complete a scan and it looks like it's found all the channels and my freeview set top box downstairs with our main TV works OK.

I've attached an image (from http://www.aerialsandtv.com/rowridgetx.html) which is definitely settings for the 25th March 2009 change over, due to change again in the not too far distant future (can't wait Rolleyes)

This is what the new 0113.ini is saying
[TERTYPE]
1=Southern England
2=Rowridge
[DVB]
0=6
1=C34,578000,0,0,8
2=C32,562166,0,0,8
3=C30,545834,0,0,8
4=C28,530000,0,0,8
5=C37,602000,0,0,8
6=C33,570166,0,0,8

I can see where C34 and Mux1 come together but these number don't seem to resemble the frequencies in the attached image.

Any ideas on why it's still not working for me since hardware and drivers should be OK if WinTV works?
Adrian.

The frequencies in the attached table are out by minus 3MHz. Just goes to show you can't trust everything you read (particularly on the Internet Wink ).

The frequencies in the ini are correct although some have either a plus or minus 166KHz offset (which can vary by region).

For the new frequencies I left them at the 'centre' frequency, e.g., C34 as 578000. Try editing it so it is either 578166 or 577834 (the +/- 166KHz offsets).

If that doesn't work then try editing config.xml (use Notepad) to set offset scanning to true...
Code:
<BDAAutoScan166KHzOffset>true</BDAAutoScan166KHzOffset>
...and using this for the ini file (all set to 'centre' frquency).
Code:
[TERTYPE]
1=Southern England
2=Rowridge
[DVB]
0=6
1=C34,578000,0,0,8
2=C32,562000,0,0,8
3=C30,546000,0,0,8
4=C28,530000,0,0,8
5=C37,602000,0,0,8
6=C33,570000,0,0,8

The frequencies quoted are accurate for analogue channels (the vision carrier), but the digital MUXES are calculated at the mid frequency of the MUX . The two actual formula given here :
http://www.aerialsandtv.com/appendix.htm...nelNumbers

I spend a great deal of time making sure my website is accurate, and I suspect 99% + is correct. However if you find anything else remiss I`d be pleased to hear it.

Thanks everyone, I've tried all of the above and ScanChannelsBDA_UK.exe is saying "Nothing found".
Also WinTV it turns out only had some channels, notably missing the BBC channels which some people are now having trouble with since this change.

I guess my signal strength must be a bit marginal, the Sony Freeview set top box for the TV downstairs manages OK but the Hauppage Nova-T 500 seems to struggle, intermittently getting some or even all channels and then loosing it again later.
If I tune it on a good day it might be OK.
I guess I'll have to get someone out to advise me on best aerial and amplifier choice and fit it. I'm not going up on the roof to fit new aerials.
Adrian.
