I have copy and pasted the entries for this tuner card in dba.ini. I am able to select this tuner entry but when scanning for channels to map digital channels it ultimately crashes and freezes.

the card's QAm tuner works fine on BeyondTV

Please help.

This is what I added to bda.ini:

[Hauppauge HVR-950Q]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=WinTV HVR-950 BDA Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinTV HVR-950 BDA Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look. Make sure you have the patches from the survival guide thread installed.

If you are trying to get QAM you need the following to be added the above is only for OTA

[Hauppauge HVR-950Q (QAM)]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
TUNING_SPECIAL=2
FILTER_TUNER=WinTV HVR-950 BDA Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinTV HVR-950 BDA Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

This might help, but not sure if not post logs

I would start a thread in the support section, reproduce your problem on the machine, then zip and attache all files in the devnz/gbpvr/log folder as it will be more visible to everyone
