SRT Viewer Limitation?

I have all recordings postprocessed by ccextractor to generate .srt
files. When GBPVR is playing back the QAM 1080i ts recording, the
subtitles in .srt are displayed about 1 min too late. Note that this is
not exactly a problem of the .srt file, as the same recording and .srt
played perfectly in MPC.

I looked into .srt file and checked the timings. They all appeared to be
right. I removed a few <font> tag in the beginning of the file and the
delay in GBPVR seems to be reduced. This led me to wonder if the
unrecognized tags such as <font><i></i> might be the problem.

And I only have the problem with .ts, not the mpeg from the old
PVR150.

I searched the wiki and this forum but could not found an answer.

It wont be related to the <font> or <i> tags. GB-PVR just ignores these.

Make sure you have the patches from the survival guide installed. This can help with determining the current playback position in the file, which helps make sure the subtitles are shown at the correct time.

I applied these patches but they did not help. I guess I will just use
MPC to playback TS recordings when I need the .srt.

Thanks for the good work!

I had the same problem. I switched from TS to DVR-MS and the SRT's play fine now.

This sounds like it's related to the same issue that causes trouble with the timeline of a .TS file for comskip commercial skipping. I'd like to use .TS for the multirecord capability, but I switched back to DVR-MS to get commercial skipping working well.
