Xmltv dst (?)

Is there a setting that would adjust the time in TV Guide.

For more explanation, here is what is happening.

1. I am using TVxb to scrub XML schedules.

2. The schedule of the program in the website being scrub is ie.

That's So Raven : Sister Act
12:30 AM - 01:00 AM My Alerts

3. The XML generated produces the following line to be read by GBPVR.

<programme start="20090408163000 UTC" stop="20090408170000 UTC" channel="disney.ph">
<title lang="en">That&apos;s So Raven</title>
<sub-title lang="en">Sister Act</sub-title>
</programme>

4. GBPVR TV Guide shows the program at

That's So Raven : Sister Act
11:30 PM - 12:30 AM

I don't understand why GBPVR adjusts the sched to 1 hour earlier. Am in the timezone as the website being scrubbed.

GB-PVR just askes Windows to turn this into a local time. Behind the scenes it uses the PC's timezone and daylight savings settings. If you dont have your PC set to auto adjust for daylight savings, this can result in times being an hour out.

The thing is, I live in an area that does not have DST. I live in the philippines, and I have set XP to Singapore timezone, which is the same as mine. I get the sched from Starhub2, a Singapore based cable operator. It shows the right schedule at 12:30am in website, the XML output also shows the correct UTC time of 1630. According to UTC conversion, we are +8:00 so that should be 12:30am but it seems GBPVR uploads it to 11:30pm.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'm not really sure what to suggest. GB-PVR doesnt calculate it by itself, it just askes Windows to convert it to a localtime.

This stuff hasnt changed in the app years though. How have you got by past? You've been a member since 2005.

Actually, this is the first time this happened. Never encountered it with previous versions.

This is a fresh install of WinXP and GBPVR, btw.

In any case, I attached a copy of my xml file, if you would like to check if the XML is incorrect. It's UTC formatted already and ready for upload in GBPVR. Since source are several websites, please check Disney Channel as a sample schedule

I just need to rule out TVxb and GBPVR, then figure out why XP is thinking it is in DST.

I've not seen any other reports, so I'm positive there is no issue with the current version. I'm sure its just some setting on your machine that is causing Windows to get it wrong.

Thanks, couldn't figure it out, so my solution was to just shift TVxb to move the time an hour.

All good for now.
