That file seems to play fine for me. I dont see it skipping or freezing.

Maybe try this latest version of the TS Reader filter, which is the same version I'm using: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...stcount=31. If that doesnt help, try playing the file then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

No joy, sub. In fact the image was horrendous with only the top third recognisable and the rest extremely pixelated shades of grey. And it froze about 28 seconds in.

Logs are attached, in case they help.

I'm guessing your problem is the ffdshow video decoder. Pretty much the only H.264 decoder I use (or would recommend) are the Cyberlink or ArcSoft H.264 decoders.

H.264 decoders are not as interchangeable as the MPEG2. Apps tend to have to build in special support feature decoder. My focus has been on these two decoders. Some other users have indicated the CoreAVC H.264 decoder also worked well, but I've not spent time investigating that one in much detail.

That's actually a very high quality mpeg-ts capture. I certainly can see why so many of you in NZ want the PCH to support LATM.

That would make sense. Let me see if I can try a different decoder. I only went to ffdshow because early on I couldn't get any video with Cyberlink (as distributed with Powercinema).

pcrosley Wrote:I've had the same problem just this week, but only with 1 channel (C4 DVB in NZ).

I recorded 2 episodes of The Daily Show this week that both froze, stuttered and skipped ahead. On the same day (about the same time) I also recorded a show from TVNZ6 (Insiders Guide) and it played back perfectly.

When C4 misbehaved I could skip back to the same point and get a few more seconds out of it, but then it would misbehave again.

I went back to recording that off Sky because of WAF!

I am having identical problems with C4, and occasionally TV3 on DVB-T, all with damaged packets and cause other players (VLC, Windows media player) to crash.

Other channels are working fine and I cant find anyhting wrong with my reception, the issus has only started around two weeks ago and an running out of ideas to try! have also tried the latest tsreader patches to no avail.

Well I was able to build a graph that plays my 30 Rock file OK with the internal viewer (at least I get well past where it freezes with GBPVRTSReader, haven't watched the whole episode yet). Started a new thread on it here:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=41833

So I don't know what that implies about it being a "bad" file, or just slightly different from what TSReader is expecting. Unfortunately, I'm not well-versed in codecs, filters, etc.!

Sub I gave this a spin on my TS recordings and tried the Cyberlink decoder - it handles previously very poor recordings quite well - I still get some crazy timeline issues - I'll give the latest TS reader a try - much thanks!
