installation ended prematurely because of an error

Iwas trying to install gbpvr on an XP computer (to use as pc client)

I get error "installation ended prematurely because of an error" when trying to install.

It looks like full installtion is done - a lot of files are in the created gbpvr directory - but in the end installtion roll backs and error message comes up.

What can be the reason?

I think there may have been an old installation where the folder was deleted instead of uninstall - can this be the proble - and if so what can I remove in registry or else here?

Just to check. Have you read this from the release thread?

Yep, as McBainUK is saying, if the recording service is running, it will do what you describe when you try to install a new version.

I used regedit - search for gbpvr and deleted all keys - and then I could install - problem fixed.
