Has anyone else noticed when watching LiveTV that TVNZ 6 & 7 video has 5 second intervals of jumpy video (dropped frames?) spaced every two to three minutes apart?

The audio is fine, even during the jumpy video interval.

All other Freeview channels work fine, including C4 and TV3+1 which use the same H.264 720x576 format.

Recorded TV from TVNZ 6 & 7 seems fine. It only occurs when watching LiveTV on those two channels.

Any ideas welcome.

You are not alone...what about those bottom 1/2 screen jumps on TV1 Tv2

I have no idea what is going on, also it never seems consistent, random if anything. Strange how you never get it with recording for TV6/7.

I'm in CHCH.

I've never seen that here. Its probably related to your video decoder or videocard.

Have had it with both a Nvidia 9600GT and current ATI 4850, also occurs on all 3 tuners with 2 different screens and with Powercinema program, and with recorded TS files of TV1/2...
I guess the common features are I use Cyberlink H.264 decoders and I live in Christchurch.
Sometimes the 'glitch' will be enough to stop the AAC sound decoding and I have to stop/restart TV or change channel to get sound going again.
Would happen about once every 10-15 minutes, and stops sound about once every 5th or 6th glitch.
Signal is perfect, even ampified it with no change.

Hmm, interesting, but my problem is specific to TVNZ 6&7 only, and what I'm seeing is complete frame jump-freeze-jump-freeze repeating very quickly over a 5sec interval, then fine for 2 to 3 minutes, and then repeating. All other Freeview channels are fine, including TV1 & TV2 which are in the same transport stream.

Sorry I should confirm that I also have the same problem as you with TV6/7.
