I know this has been discussed many times on the forum and have tried to read through some post, most everyone says this has to do with permissions on the machine.

Well I would like to know if anyone could give a detailed description of what to address to get this to work, i am running my Server on Win XP pro SP3 and have one client on XP and one on Vista, so far both clients can not delete or set recordings.

What i have done

Server, i have set permission for guest to have ful access to the folder containing GBPVR database and the recordings directory, this did not change the behavior

See server logs attached
HTPC Server: 2.3gh AMD Quad 9600, 4GB ram, 320gb HDD, 1TB HDD, and 750GB External USB HDD, NVIDIA GeForce 8600gt, Win 7 (32bit), (2x) HVR2250 using QAM

Client: AM2 5600, biostar 790GX (onbard HD3300), 4gb memory, Vista, LM remote mapping app, Acer Revo R3610 (Atom N330) Win 7, 785G (HD 4200), Win 7, 4gb ram

Can you post the client logs showing an attempt to schedule a recording?

In this particular case the GB-PVR client was not able to write to the database because it was readonly. This is either because the share is read only, or the file permissions on the server made the file readonly.

Thanks for the quick reponse i was able to resolve the issue, by making sure the folder options were read/write as well as the database file
