Sorry, yes .dvr-ms files should also use the decoders specified in the config app.

And that decoder stutters a bit. There are ways of changing it though. What would that do to playback from the HDPVR though? Also, why the h264 setting in config?

As mentioned in my couple of posts above, the decoder settings are used when your play .ts/.mpg/.dvr-ms files. Its only ignored when you play other types of files (like the .mkv file you used). With these types of files, it'll use whatever the system defaults are.

HD-PVR recordings will use whatever H.264 decoder you've specified in the config app. (ie, its a .ts file)

Thanks Sub. I don't have the HDPVR yet, but it's on the list. Also, I find I like some things in 7 better than Vista, but don't like others. Sigh, wish XP was upgraded to use DXVA2 like Vista/7. That would be killer.
