Black screen

I have all the guide info from an xmltv file, all the channels are in the guide. But I'm getting a black screen on every channel.

Your problem is occurring because you've tried to manually enter your tuning information in your capture source channel list. Delete your capture source, and recreate it, and this time make sure you do the 'map digital channels to epg channels' step.

Did the digital scan, no channels appeared.

Do you get any digital cable channels in the Hauppauge WinTV software?

In wintv 6, yes.

I dont know then. There isnt an obvious cause in the logs. Check it worked in WinTV was really to confirm you had the cable connected up correctly.

Maybe search for Whurlston's QAM manage so you can try scanning some of the alternative frequencies.

I used the version 1002 of the QAM.ini manager. It found the QAM channels using HRC frequencies 70+, what's the next step?

On the left of the 'map digital channels to epg channels' you need to click on the 'tuning request' column of each of your EPG channels, and select which scanned digital channel it relates to. Any channels not mapped will be disabled.
