White Vertical Line Moving Across on Analog Channels HVR-1600

Research the forums, the web and haven't found a solution. Decided to post it here.
Basically my QAM channels shows perfect, but on the analog side I see they are more bright and have a vertical line moving across the tv over and over.
So I'm not sure is this is to interference or low signal, but this not happens when I connect the cable trought the STB or TV.
Any Ideas??

definitely interference, most likely a bad cable connect...

Check your cooling fans.

I have fans which can be switched to low, medium or high speed. One of the fans causes horizontal white lines across my screen when switched to medium (I think) but doesn't cause any problems at the other speeds.

Obviously not the same as your problem but worth checking.

Very interesting. I have 2 fans for my Antec case and I think that both are set to high. Will play around witht he speed and post the results.

I doubt fans or other interference could cause vertical lines. Horizontal lines are the normal result of interference - the analog tv signal is transmitted line by line, so rf interference causes distortion of the signal along the scanline. To make a vertical line, the interference would have to be perfectly timed with the horizontal refresh rate which is around 15khz or so...

sorry, i misinterpretted your post as meaning 'moving' vertically...[which is typical of interference]
vertical lines is usually something inside the computer, sometimes just loose connections..

also, check in bios for 'spread spectrum' and change it's value to see if any change..
