After a (very very) lot of messing around here is how I managed to get a WinTV Nova-T PCI 90002 recording properly with GB-PVR. (Thanks to a guest poster in another thread for some of this)
If you are having record problems with a USB2 version, you could try also try this (I havent tested it) but I had a USB2 version before, and it was showing the same problems.
I uninstalled all the hauppage stuff using hwclear
Then I removed any stuff that looked like it was left over from previous installations that I didnt want (showshifter, intervideo, cyberlink, pinnacle etc etc) and then I uninstalled any DirectShow Filters using filmerit
http://paul.glagla.free.fr/index_en.htm remember to disable readonly - in the help section???- so you can delete things.
Make sure you removed anything that looks like
Intervideo NonCSS for Hauppauge
Then I fresh installed the WinTV drivers from hcw13nova-t from hauupage
Then I installed the WinTV applications (using setup.exe) but unticked the
Install MPEG SW Decoders these are the drivers that I think are causing the problems
put the file mpgmux.ax which you can get from
http://www.gocyberlink.com/multi/download/download.jsp
into the windows directory and from a command line use
cd c:\windows
regsvr32 mpgmux.ax
I am using version 5.0.0.727 of the mpgmux.ax file, version 4 seemed to cause minor stuttering problems for me
With all this done, I managed to record and watch tv perfectly.
