I cant get gbpvr to work with Hauppauge PVR350 card as a capture source. I have set up the capture source to use the direct recording plugin and EPG source as xmltv. The xmltv is working and channels appear in the tv guide, but when I go to live TV, all channels show a black screen.

I have also tried the device type check utility and this does not seem to be able to find the card. The log file shows:

21:37:01.453 INFO Log started
21:37:01.453 VERBOSE ECP interface found

21:37:01.453 ERROR Failed to get ECP general string
21:37:01.468 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture
21:37:01.468 ERROR Failed to find requested device: Hauppauge PVR150 (instance 2)

The card is working in hauppauge win tv 7. Does anyone have any ideas?

You dont need to use the Device Type Check utility. It was only needed if you had a mixture of PVR150/250/350/500 devices in the one machine. Since you've only got a single PVR350, you dont need to worry about it.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Run filtercheck.exe (located in the GBPVR program folder) and zip and post the resulting filtercheck.log

I'm not sure, but it looks like some other software in the machine might be using the device, causing GB-PVR to fail when it tries to use it.

You were right, if I terminate CaptureGenPCI.exe, then GBPVR works perfectly. I guess that this is part of WinTV?
