Help setting up an HVR-1800

forgive me if this seems a stupid suggestion, but you did have the cable attached to the bottom connector on the 1800, right?

I guess somebody needs to ask that question. But yes, I attached the cable to that connector. This card has 3 coax cable connectors. One of these is for FM, which was the only one I did not use.

I just like to report that Hauppauge replaced my 1800. The new one that they sent me works.

I did still have an issue with the scan though. The frequencies discovered by 1800 did not work very well. It was like they were a little bit off. I manually entered the frequencies from my 1600. This approach appears to be working. I am only using the QAM tuners for 4 HD channels now, so this manual approach was pretty painless. Below is the frequencies discovered by the 1800 and the ones from 1600. The 1600 are about 8 months old, but work so I am not about to rescan.
