It is an first time installation of GB-PVR but I get athe following error message.

"Installation ended prematurely because of an error"

.net 2.0 is installed on my PC and I also run the vcredist_X86.
I tried the SC delete service in the cmd as was posted here earlier but there is no such service present since it is a first time installation I guess.
Does someone know what might cause this error?

I have a vista home premium sp 1, 3.0 GB RAM, 32 bits, ADM athlon 64X2 processor. M779 PCIe DVB-T tuner card.

Thanks.
Regards.

I updated to SP 2, I hoped that that might help. But still the same error message.
Are there more people who experiences the same issue?

Hi,

If you can run the installation again with the msi log file, and attach it, I'll see if I can spot something...

The get a log file during installation...

MSIEXEC /i "C:\temp\GBPVR.msi" /L*v "C:\TEMP\GBPVR.txt"

Err.... is that all the log ?

I was expecting a log file with hundreds of rows of data.... it looks like the msi started and just stopped....

did you exec the commandline, or did you adjust it to repoint to your msi ?

Yes I did exec the command line.
When I start GBpvr.msi it gets an error straight away.
So nothing much is happening.

When Exec is runned the flowing textwindow opens from windows installer:

Can't open installation package.
Is it an excisting package or do u have acces to it.
Is the windows installer valid?

I translated it from dutch.

Bert

I downloaded GBpvr.msi once again, but at installation I do get the same error as before.
What is the exact sequence I should follow for installation of GBPVR.
This doesnt seem to work now.

Regards,
Bert
