Quote:I have a brand new Stick. What do I have to do to get it to work with gbpvr?Thats bit vague. You can find general info on the wiki. Have you created your capture source? Thats typically the first thing a user would need to do after installing the app. This tells the application what device you have, and what channels you have available.

Thank you for your answer.
Yes, I have added the source. Since the Stick was not in the list, I thought I could add it to bda.ini as you can see in the screenshot. When I check "Only show devices detected in this machine", it founds nothing, so I manually choosed the added device. It works with the terratec app, so the device is in this machine. If I click "Map digital channels to EPG channels", GB-PVR crashes, as reported here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=43061 dartrax

Run the filtercheck.exe in the GB-PVR directory and I'll tell you what the entry in bda.ini should look like.

Ah, the secret tip
![]() I got this: Code: 19:06:24.437 INFO Checking KSCATEGORY_BDA_NETWORK_TUNER filtersAnd I added this to bda.ini, right? Code: [TerraTec T5 Path0]What do I have to do now? "Update EPG" opens a dialog, but in the end nothing changed. If I start PVRX2.exe, it also does nothing, just eating my cpu. dartrax

Quote:Ah, the secret tipIts not so secret. The wiki has a page describing how to add a device http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...aptureCard Quote:What do I have to do now?Assuming you've already set the appropriate EPG options in your capture source, you'd typically hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button to scan for channels.

sub Wrote:Its not so secret. The wiki has a page describing how to add a device http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...aptureCard Oh, I didn't found that! I looked into the "Manual" and found this section: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/DefineSource I thought all what is to be said is said on this page (or links). I think I should insert a link to the page you mentioned on this manual page, so new users will get over this faster ![]() Quote:Assuming you've already set the appropriate EPG options in your capture source, you'd typically hit the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button to scan for channels. Well, the Object-is-nothing-bug, ya' know ![]() I think I'll have to wait until you'll fix it. dartrax

dartrax Wrote:Well, the Object-is-nothing-bug, ya' knowThat happened because you had your bda.ini entry wrong. If its not working now that you've corrected your bda.ini entry, post the new logs and I'll take a look.

Can you zip and attach your filtercheck.log? Dont paste the contents of it into the post. Some times these devices that have "(Dev1 Path0)" in the name have a space at the end of the name, and this needs to be included (use quotes around the whole name including space)

You are absolutely right! Both Tuners had spaces in the end. My bda.ini now looks like this and currently it's scanning
![]() Thanks! With a meaningful error message in the next release, this should not happen again *thumbs-up* Now all channels are found, I'm asked to map channels somehow. First two are "ZDF" and "ZDF (Audio #2)". Well, I doubleclicked on "ZDF (Audio #2)" and now, the window is frozen! I hate programs that do not use multithreading... (sorry, im not very thankful today...) Edit: Oh, I do not need to rescan ![]() dartrax |
