Well at least I learned something today. Is there a special reason you have D:\ as the ROOTDRIVE and you are installing to C:\Program Files\

Use this

Quote:runas /userC_VAN_HUBERT\Administrator "MSIEXEC /i \"C:\temp\GBPVR.msi\" /L*v \"C:\TEMP\GBPVR.txt\""

I added double quotes around the program to be run and used an escape character ("\") to keep the double quotes within the quoted string.

If you enter

Quote:runas /?

you'll get an example of how to use quotes.

I can't use the command since it asks for a password. And I never installed a password as far as I know. And blanc is not accepted.
But since the cmd is runned as administrator I dont think this cmd will work as it would do the same.

Hi BertB

I think your Vista installation is broken. If the Runas command wants a password and you didn't set one, I think the registry and security routines are broken.

Is this a machine you can completely re install from stratch ?

Yes I sort of expected that.....

Basically I think we need to install using the Administrator account.... Do you have a copy of LockSmith from Systernals.com this can be used to reset the password on the Administrator account ....

Then run the install again with the new password.

Hi,
I was able to run installatio. But it went wrong on the line. De log is much bigger now. I will add it maybe u can see what is wrong now....

It's still wanting to uset TARGETDIR as D:\ Did you explain this in another post?
