sure fixed me up nicely.. once i upgraded winamp, everything was back to working...
never would have known if it wasn't for the feedback from MST..
plus now with the startup/shutdown commands i can set my vfd 'Next Recording:' message when it goes to sleep...
[i think you have to install it to use suspend/resume cmds]
it's a good idea to put fullresume.exe in there with startup stuff to help gbpvr w/vmr9 issues..
if no issues then don't need it...[shows "vmr9 not available on this machine" upon resume because display not ready b4 pvrx2.exe fires back up]
Hmm, well I ran it, and that idle screen is great.
But now it's highlighting that "A program is needing the system". I've tried stopping some services etc, and shut down recording service/pvrx2 etc, and it still stays lit.
Is that all i need to do,and for how long do i leave them shut down before I should see that light going out?
well, found out that it's how i use winamp that is keeping system awake, i'm playing the line-in always for spectrum analyzer, so i can't have suspend while i do that...
but hey Psyc, probably not any services, but maybe net power options, or other things running in tray usually...usually only things that are 'running' and actively doing something..
tho maybe just listening [servers] or errors..[check logs] or noise on a remote sensor..how's the "time since last user input"? idleness? all ok?
anything in the MST logs after a suspend try? event logs?
I also really like the file running ability. I use it to update the files to drive my VFD. I find MST runs the BAT much sooner than the wake.cmd would have been run so there is no onscreen window to disturb the DVR illusion.
I had an issue with GBPVR not having focus after resume so I just put HSTART and the PVRx2 path at the end of my resume BAT. Problem solved!
I also really like the idle detection. I tweaked the level to keep the machine awake at night when it wakes to do some maintenance tasks.
One of the things requested in the forums for MST was the ability to see which program was causing "A program is needing the system". No word on when (or if) it might be implemented.

blinking flip! that's a good addition too. I resorted to buying a new GFX card to fix that little annoyance...
Doesn't work for me. I need to move mouse to WakeUp my TV :/
XP SP3, Intel G45 (HD4500) chipset.
What command can be added to force full resume? Any tips?

sweet, the new version adds windows idle detection! now i see my winamp is keeping a 'system needed' flag set preventing suspend...usefull info that...
and don't need to install to get that info either..
I've been using MST for some time under XP Pro and have just suddenly run into a 'won't sleep' situation. Have never been able to find an option (and it's not THAT complex an interface!) that showed me which app was keeping the PVR awake.
Right-click brings up a Configure menu option but nothing happens when I click it. Where did you find it?
