Yes didn't you say you used the new NMTInstall? Could you untick everything and just run update mvpmcx2 and copy the details to me.

Martin,

I knew I was an idiot, I just needed your help to determine exactly how.

Since I already had GBPVR installed, I was blindly un-ticking everything under GB-PVR, including "install mvpmcx2". :o

It works now, the image is huge, but I remember someone else posting about that. I'll fix it.

Thanks so much for your patience.

No problem, I didn't help out with the bad NMTInstall, I'm glad we narrowed down the firmware issue.

I am so glad someone else did the "exact" same thing I did when installing my EGreat for the first time....I feel so much better now Big Grin

That was my exact same feeling after finding out what I had done wrong :o

I'm glad I could make someone feel better. My wife is not too impressed with me right now!

Martin,

I'm sorry, but one more question. I'm trying to tackle this size issue. The image on my plasma monitor is larger that the screen, and corrupted. I'm looking at my config.xml and I find this:
<MAC-0006DC426C12>
<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
<MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
<MVPWidth>1920</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>1080</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>
</MAC-0006DC426C12>

<MAC-0006DC>
<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
<MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
<MVPWidth>1280</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>720</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>
</MAC-0006DC>
The first MAC address is the correct one for my PCH, but I chose 720 in the NMTInstall application, and I've set my PCH TV type to 720 p. What are the correct height and width settings for 720 p? Am I even on the right track?

Once again, thank you.

It should be set to 1280 width and 720 height.

What dark_half says. NMTInstall isn't smart so if you tick the option to configure GB-PVR PCH setting it will add a second entry.

This is strange. I edit config.xml, I double check it, and it seems to keep changing back to 1920x1080. I changed my Video Output on the PCH to 1080p, but I still have the oversized image.What could be rewriting config.xml?

Your logs don't show you running Vista, so I suggest stopping the recording service and trying again. Unfortunately some plugins do this.
