ok. I've added pin code protected folders for the next release. At the moment its only in the Video Library, but I'll consider adding it to the Recordings screen as well.

I didn't investigate further, just noticed that some of my movies did not show up in the overview. I use .avi, .mkv and .ogg formats for archived movies.

@sub.. Im guessing it would be next to impossible to have GBPVR as a user-logon type access eh ? So when Junior clicks his icon from the start screen (in gbpvr) , he only has access to "his" videos, photos, radio channels, tv channels, no access to System or Settings, etc etc. I guess this could also be a His and Hers thing too..
Imagine how many options would have to be cascaded down.. plus all the plugin would have to support it etc.. ugh

Maybe in GBPVR-10.0 Smile

The ogg extension was missing from XRecord... added it. Thanks for the info.

Cool pin codes in GB-PVR! Maybe a categories feature like XRecord's xcategories.txt to assign some shows to category Jim, others to Susan, and others to Jim Jr etc now that the folders are protected.

Windows already takes care of the logon-issue.

I notice in 1.4.7 pin code protection password it is in config but how do you use it in the video library?

Set your pincode in the config app, then place a file called "protect.txt" in the directory you want protected. When you try to navigate into that directory in the Video Library, you'll be prompted for the pin.
