There was a meaningful error message in the logs. It said it couldnt find the tuner filter specified. To me that is pretty clear the name is wrong (ie doesnt match a device currently installed in the machine).

I'm not concerned if the user sees and error message if they chose an incorrect device not in their machine, which is effectively what you were doing.

It most likely means whatever decoders are being used on your machine doesnt like the data that is being delivered to it.

It does use multithreading. Feel free to write your own if you think you can do better though.

That does not help the user!

I already posted the error message, it was the exception that was thrown by the Framework. It would be better to catch the exception, so the user is not forced to close the application and to give the user some meaningful message.

That should not be the problem of the UI threat Wink

I know it's not very kind what I've said about the program. But I tell you, I've tried other programs before (Terratec's Home Cinema, Team MediaPortal and ProgDVB) and I can tell you, yours is the one that looks most professional by now. I uninstalled the other apps (except the original Terratec one) because of their crappy UI or ongoing crashes.
I know, it's hard to get a software like this to work, especially when it comes to hardware support.
But there are things that can't be tolerated, and that are framework exceptions that can be avoided, and a Object-reference-exception can be avoided, trust me.

All I try is to help you in improving the software, that's all what counts Wink

Now, back to topic:
I've got all the channels now. Now, how to proceed?
If I open PVRX2.exe, I get the app in the taskbar, but it's not visible. Instead, it's eating one core of my cpu. May be you can find something in the logs that I've already postet, also.

ps: btw, I thought I started 3 threats at this board... not only two... I seem to get old...

Hanging around here you'll soon get used to the fact I'm not interested in tidying up some stuff, including this. If have things configured correctly though, you'll generally not see any error messages like this in the main user interface (pvrx2.exe).

Zip and attach your pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll see if anything stands out.

That's really a pity. A software with huge potential is not allowed to get what it should. But it's not up to me to complain, I never paid for it.

I know you are unmotivated after so much trouble and bugs. But that doesn't help for it. You should suggest something for me to try, don't you?

Anyway, I'll install Windows 7 soon, should be working than, I assume.

The TerraTec T5 Stick is working with gbpvr, this is the correct bda.ini entry:

Code:
[TerraTec T5 Path0]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="TerraTec T5 Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0) "
FILTER_CAPTURE=TerraTec T5 Digital Capture (Dev1 Path0)
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2-Transport

[TerraTec T5 Path1]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="TerraTec T5 Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path1) "
FILTER_CAPTURE=TerraTec T5 Digital Capture (Dev1 Path1)
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2-Transport

PVRX2.exe is also working now (I have Win7 installed now), but unfortunately some populate stations are not working (signal bad error), so for now i'm still going with TerraTec HomeCinema. I've found no other software which is better than that (at least for non HTPC-use) yet. Suggestions are welcome Wink

I remember another thread of yours, complaining about the captcha system, I guess it was moderated for some reason.
