I'm surprised that so few NMT users replied with their experiences after the work sub and I did to get com skip working, Comskip on HD digital QAM, ATSC, DVB and HD analog HD-PVR recordings in mpeg-2 and or h264 should work reasonably well.

Can only comment on SD but comskip works great for me.

I picked up the PCH-A110 a couple months ago as we wanted to add another MVP but decided to start planning for the future. I've only been using it for SD, but I think it is fantastic, better than the MVP because it's faster and I can watch my DVDs on it too (in 5.1 DTS even). In fact the only downside to the PCH is the slightly longer boot time (although I just leave mine on now) and the ridiculously bright "on" LED. My PCH is basically at eye level, so placement in another system may make this a non-issue.

Martin, Sub, and the team have done outstanding work to make this happen. Kudos all around!

ps Hang on to your MVP remote, using Martin's lircd1 you can use it with the PCH, it's a much nicer remote for use with GBPVR, in my opinion.

I'm extensively using GBPVR with a PCH A-110 running mvpmcx2 in PCH2 mode. Comskip is work quite well for both ATSC HD recordings and analog SD recordings. (There are a few recordings where the actual skipping doesn't go to the correct point, but for most recordings it's close enough.)

I'm quite happy with the setup! Many thanks to both Martin and sub!

I *just* upgraded to the new 1.4.7 and updated my PCH A-100 to use the newest mvpmcx2. I'm thrilled! It works as well as I've been wishing for! This is what I've been waiting for since I got my PCH!

Many thanks!
