I'll need to make that happen tomorrow, sub - thanks. ER is about to start and my life wouldn't be worth living if I failed to record it... I'll revert to another tuner for the time being.

ive got a 7010 in my box can't say ive had any problems with it. If there is any way i can help i'm willing. One thing i did notice on mine the documentation says you can use either rf input for both tuners but one of them has a dc voltage for an aeiral amp. I fiund in mine and one i tested for someone else that one of the inputs is deaf...i think it was the one which was meant to be without the dc.......worth checking if you have not already ruled it out

i used a 7010ix for about the last 6 months and I have had no probs with it at all. I even be able to record x2 DVB-T programmes and x2 DVB-S programmes at the same time.

With the release of 1.4.7 I've updated my HTPC to Win 7 and i have been having some problems since then . I use the Blackgold BGT 3540 driver (as I used with Vista) however GBPVR no longer recognizes it correctly. It recognizes it as a Pinnacle DVB-T 3010 and the DVB-T tuners work fine however I can't access the DVB-S tuner.

I suspect the Win 7 drivers are not mature enough yet. Pinnicle don't update them so I will have to see if Blackgold do. I guess that is what you get for being a cheap skate and buying a cheap tuner card.

Sorry - not sure I follow you! The only documentation I've found online (I bought mine secondhand off eBay) was a simple guide that was close to useless but it makes no differentiation between the two DVB-S tuners. If what you say is true, though, how would I know and what should I do about it? Thanks...

It seems to be recognised OK by both XP SP3 (no problems with that so not planning to change - yet) and by GBPVR. Changing device/tuner numbers experimentally produced errors from GBPVR unless I configured the single device entry as tuners 1 and 2 - so I infer from that that GBPVR is recognising two tuners.

When I used both Vista and before that XP using the Blackgold BGT 3540 driver . GBPVR reconised both the DVB-T side and the DVB-S of the card. To configure it as four separate tuners I then had to select device 1 then scan and then device 2 and scan. That way I ended up being able to record using 4 different tuners.

Does that make sense? eg

DVB-T - Device 1
- Device 2

DVB-S - Device 1
- Device 2

four separate tuners in total

Now I am using Win 7 it GBPVR recognizes it as a pinnacle 3010 even when I use the Blackgold BGT 3540 driver and I can only tune the DVB-T side of the card. No DVB-S

Try the other DVB-T aerial input on the card.
