Sort options for available recordings

I'd really like to see a sort option for the recordings you already have. There are some shows that I like to keep every episode I record, which adds up to a lot of scrolling when I want to watch a newly recorded one. If the newer episodes were on top of the list that'd be great.

Another way to view the shows that I'd like to see is similar to how tivo does it, just lists the newly recorded stuff on the top of the available list instead of showing the show names as folders containing episodes.

xrecord has different modes including weeks.

So you can see this week
Last Week
two weeks ago
three weeks
long time ago.

The video archive plug-in also has different sorting optins (old to new, new to old, A to Z, Z to A). The default is set with the config applicaiton and the red button chnages to the next sort option. I beleive My Videos also has diffferent sort options.

I found this post doung a search before posting a new thread with the exact same wish.

It should be possible (and probably even simple?) to at least provide a config-option for the sort sequence to have the newest recordings on top.

Of course, being able to manage the sort sequence from the TV UI would be the ideal way to go, but a simle config option to start with would be very nice indeed! and remove one (and currently the largest) annoyance in daily use.

Thanks - I will.

However, I would prefer to be able to use the standard interface for standard recordings. I have had bad experiences with plugins in the past, and I really find this to be a functionality that easily could (and should) be part of the standard listing.

I'll try the archive plugin out and see how it matches with the normal recording structure of GBPVR.
