OK, I am been through this before but for the life of me can't figure out how I addressed it.

How do I speend up the speed of scrolling in the guide, etc?

I can scroll very quickly with the keyboard, however with the MCE remote and HIP it is slow.

Thanks.

go into hip preferences/alternate input/device settings for mce dongle, and play with the repeat delay and held delay...
it is a bit slow for default...
Smile
hmm, well it didn't seem to effect my scrolling any...maybe have to reboot first...

or you can use native windows mce remote support...Smile

it's much faster scrolling and now you can remap keys...Big Grin
should still be able to use hip if setup to blast only...

aha! talked to the guy at BTMI and he fixed the key repeat rates! now lightning fast remote with HIP..Big Grin

he'll probably have a new version out soon..
pm me if you want the .dll sooner...it updates hip to new ver, but i'm not sure if other stuff has been added or not...everything seems same, but now repeat rates work for all remotes on mce dongle..

I discovered that for me the issue appeared to be with the alternate MCEIR driver. When I went back to the standard MS provided ehome driver everything was FAST. Of course that required a bit of HIP reconfiguration but it is working at the rate I want now.

hmmm, i've always used the ms driver for the dongle...it was hip that was slowing it down...
the problem with mapping everything but the arrows/ok in HIP is, other programs will get those keystrokes too...so you have to make sure pvrx2 has focus to use it that way...

i have keymaps, etc to easily set it up without focus needed, and speed too now..Smile
let me know if you want them...i'm working on a new HIP setup guide that's sooo much easier....just import 2 files and choose pvrx2 app and you're done...[except for blasting]

glad you got it working tho..Big Grin
