I am using 1.4.7 and it setup to always timeshift LiveTV. Today I went to channel 8 and watched NCIS. I had to leave so I recored from 8:52pm to the end of the show 9:01pm. Then I returned and exited LiveTV and went to the Recordings and whatched. I exited and if I use the GBPVR Tray or EWA the tuner shows that it is still recording NCIS. I look in the LiveTV Buffer directory and the file NCIS_1_20090915_20002101.mpg is still growing. So I am not sure if this is normal. I have posted this question before, but I did not post the logs. The logs are attached. THANKS!

Now that 9 minute file is 35 gigabytes and still growing. I guess it is time to reboot. The only error that I see in the log is ConnectFilters:Failed(2). I am not sure what to try next to resolve this problem.

Do you get that size file each time you try to record? This can be a sign you've got the wrong device type selected. For example, having a PVR150, by setting your capture source as a PVR250 will resulting in huge files like this.

The file size seems OK if I schedule a recording using the TVGuide because the Tuner does not keep recording. I seem to have the problem only when I record a show that I am watching because the Tuner does not stop recording until I restart the recording service. I am watching LiveTV in Time-Shift mode.

Maybe I did not answer your question. I have two ASUS COMBO-210E PCI-E TV tuner cards installed. I use the VistaView Saber DA-1N1-E drivers. The Vista View and Gateway drivers are both ViXS Pure TV Driver version 6.2.100.12 but the Vista View supports XP, which I am running. I am not using QAM, just Analog, so I defined two capture devices as VIXS PureTV on board #1 and #2. I did another test and I watched TV in time-shift mode and recorded the show. After the show was completed I found the show listed on the Recordings screen. The tuner status still showed the show was being recorded and the file size was still growing. I went to EWA and started recording two shows. The tuner status then showed these two shows as recording and the file size of the time-shift recording stopped growing. Once these shows finished, the both tuner status are sleeping. I have attached the logs. I also tried the setting BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording to 1, but that did not help. Thanks!

BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording would not have any effect on analog. I'm not sure if it's even still used at all.

Sorry, I'm not sure whats going wrong. I'm not really familiar with these devices, and cant see anything obvious in the logs.

I'll test with my Saber tonight to see if I can reproduce the issue.
