another issue popped up when I installed GraphRecorder on my other machine to work with a capture card without onboard mpeg2 encoding..
when I enter its config, I get a .net error about the uMxId being invalid, but I'm able to set up my graph settings.. Watching TV works great, but when I try and exit or change the channel, the logs show the same error again and the recording service gets hung up. it doesn't like my sound card or something? I don't need it to tune or mute anything in the graph, as long as it's run everything will be fine. Code: 2009-08-02 00:09:36.913 VERBOSE [16] Received request to stop livetv: 5

Yea - I grabbed the mixer code from some samples and it doesn't seem to translate well to anything beyond XP - I'll see about turning it off since its really only for live preview stuff,

Sounds good, thanks. are you going to post the source code?

I've looked at the example graphs, I've built one to test (haven't tried it in GB-PVR yet), but here is my goal:
I want to watch/record from my STB in HD. I can figure out Graphedit enough by looking at examples and have a general idea of "what" it does, but as for mpg vs ts vs avi, I get confused at what the best output is. I have an HD-PVR that works fine with GB-PVR and I have the horsepower to view .ts files up to 1080, but I'm just not certain what filters to use. Does someone have an example graph (picture) that they can share so I can see an example?

Basically, you just need to have the GBPVR Writer filter as the last filter in your graph. Either mpg or ts would be fine.

dark_half Wrote:Where can I get the most recent version of GraphRecorder? I see references to v2.1 but the one on the wiki is v1.9. I am looking for the ability to have the reording extension be a .ts. Do I need to use the dll referenced in the this thread on post #16? Oops you are right - I have been using the wrong capitalization scheme and while I did upload 2.1 it wasn't really on the wiki page, It is now, Mike

I just installed version 2.1; I just replaced graphrecorder.dll in the plugins\graphrecorder folder. The directshow-lib-2005 was the same date as I already had, so didn't replace that. Now, recordings fail with the logs noting that directshow-lib-2005 can't be found. Where is it supposed to be? I have it in \plugins, \plugins\common and \plugins\graphrecorder.
Thanks.
