I have a Dell XPS 1640 laptop running 64 bit Vista and WMC. I have installed GB-PVR. When Channel Mapping in config/Capture source/ some of the high definition channels only had audio (AC3) only available. Live viewing of the channel transmits audio but there is no video. The channels work fine in WMC.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Getting audio mean means the device is managing to lock onto the channel just fine. Lack of video typically means you dont have decoder available, or you've got a broken decoder selected. (MPEG2 video decoder in your case)

Thank you very much sub for your help. I installed another mpeg2 codec from a link found elsewhere on these forums and now it works.

I used regsvr32 to register the codecs and I suspect it was a 32 bit codec(?). Is there any advantage to trying to find and install a 64 bit codec?

Good to hear you got it working.

GB-PVR is a 32 bit app, so it'll only ever use a 32 bit decoder.

Which codec did you end up finding that worked for you? Could you provide the link?
