Not sure when this happened, but I'm seeing a recording show up in the logs that I've never created. I noticed only after upgrading to a fresh install to version 1.4.7.

The mysterious log entries are in the pending.log file:
The View From the Bay 9/16/2009 3:00:00 PM - 9/16/2009 4:00:00 PM capture-source:2 tuning:7

I only noticed this when I went to record Mad Money and got a conflict with "The View From the Bay".

I don't know if it occured due to the export/import from 1.3.11 to 1.4.7 recordings or it was due to the way I setup another recording called "The View" for my wife. When I did that from the backend PC (my server using PVRX2) I performed a search to find all the "the view" entries. Then I selected only "The View". Then I selected to record entire season on the channel and keep 5 episodes.

Even though I don't see "The View From the Bay" show up in my recordings, it keeps getting listed in the pending.log file even after removing "The View" reoccuring recording.

How can I delete this mysterious recording?

BTW, I looked into my previous version 1.3.11 log files and this issue didn't appear there. I've attached my log files from current 1.4.7.

Clarifying steps:
1. Saved all recordings by exporting from 1.3.11
2. Copied 1.3.11 directories and files to backup location
3. Uninstalled 1.3.11
4. Install fresh 1.4.7
5. Setup 1.4.7 capture sources
6. Imported 1.3.11 recordings into 1.4.7
7. Deleted the reoccuring recordings
8a. re-entered reocurring recordings manually (not sure if this step was necessary but read when you remove a recording device and re-add it back that a prevously re-occuring show may attach to the old device and not record properly)
8b. Re-entered re-ocurring schedules by using the search Guide Setup to record "The View" (all episodes on this channel) to save last 5 recordings by performing a search and typing "The view" in the search. found the entries and selected 1st date.
10. Search for "Mad Money" and did the same setup to record season (all episodes on this channel) to save last 5 recordings
11. Searched for conflicts and Mad Money was conflicting with "The View from the Bay" ?????? (appears "The View" is getting confused with "The view from the bay"
12. Removed Mad money schedule and rescheduled it.
13. Searched for conflicts and again saw it.
14. Removed "The View from the bay" conflicts
15. Removed "The View" reoccuring schedule
16. Recreaded "The view" reoccuring schedule
15. pending.log file still showing entries for "The view from the Bay" even after removing the "The View" re-occuring, but can't delete tall the "The view from the Bay" recordings from the console...

OK, I found out more information and what appears to be a bug in the way GBPVR parses recurring recordings for "The View" vs. "The View From The Bay".Sad

When creating a reccuring recording (either from the Channel Guide or Search Guide - doesn't matter) for "The View", GBPVR also creates an additional recording for "The View From The Bay". Both of these shows happen to be on the same channel (#7).

However, the additional recording doesn't show up in the reccuring list:

But it does show up in the Channel guide as a RED overlay to the show. I cannot delete the recurring series, but I can delete individual shows, but only through the TV Guide and the Pending list but have to delete each entry individually - and when EPG is updated, I would have to do it again for new shows entering the schedule. If I do nothing, then the additional shows will record and can, at times, conflict with other recordings.

How can I delete the additional recurring show "The View From The Bay" that I don't want?

I've attached the logs again.

For now, I've rolled back to the version of the gbpvr.db3 file just prior to entering the recurring job setup for "The View" so I can rid myself of the issue, but will not be able to record the "The View" for the wife.

BTW, I've recorded "The View" series before in previous versions (1.3.11, 1.3.7, etc.) and I didn't see this issue prior to 1.4.7.

Someone else mentioned this as a problem - no resolution as yet though.

OK, thanks - The other post though doesn't say that you can't delete the recording series. So at least this adds more details to the issue.
