A couple of weeks ago I needed to re-scan all my dvb-t stations, in the uk we have a few shared channels like BBC3 and 4 that only air after something like 7pm.
The scan I did was in the morning, I just got round to doing an evening scan tonight to catch BBC3 and 4, when I hit the rescan button it finds all the channels ok, but it also re-maps a handful of my already mapped channels to the (audio2) version.

I did a scan from an empty mappings table and it did the same thing the pattern matching is chosing the (audio2) versions of the channel....strange because I'm 100% sure my original scans were after I had moved to 1.4.7, so I don't understand why it's changed its mind now.

Appart from that though the new scanning interface is a big improvement...though I'd still like a "duplicate caputure source" button to prevent the arse ache of doing all 4 tuners the same.

I haven't yet done a scan with 1.4.7 so I'm not looking forward to this feature when the big changeover happens on the 30th to squeeze in the HD mux's.

I've seen a few reports of this. The attached patch should correct it.

It was a flaw in the logic of new functionality that was intended to autocorrect channel mappings when audio/video pids change.

Yeah just saw that post...after deciding to rescan......bugger.

I have built a nice spreadsheet that takes a scan cache re-sorts to alphabetical and deletes channels you dont care about, I can then use this scan cache for my other tuners. It makes changeovers a bit easier. Though I havent tried it on 1.4.7 yet.

Anyway buy youself a DVB-S card and then see what a nightmare re-scanning is ...more channels in the dropdown than you can throw a shitty stick at.

I know. Production machine has an S350 and "my" machine has a Pinnacle 4000i (tunes, but won't scan). I'm currently still trying to get a dvbviewer to gbpvr cache conversion working. Until then I'm still nicking copies of cache files uploaded here (and very useful they are).

I've just done a dvb-t scan on the spare machine with subs patch and it ran fine, without upsetting existing mappings.

I tried my first DVB-S scan on the new 1.4.7 yesterday - and everything worked perfectly. Prior to the new release, I had always had problems scanning in GBPVR, and resorted to scanning in DVBDream with the GBPVR pid grabber plugin.
Big thanks to Sub for another great release - and a new scan.cache attached for those with S350 cards (still only got 'unknown' channels when I tried it on a PC with an S350).

Pob, can you have a look at this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=43654&page=2 post 19-ish

where I checked something from your cache file above, but some appeared on multiple transponders, but I didn't see them duplicated with dvbviewer. Was your scan a fresh one or an update?
