Does 1.4.7 scan break UK Channel 4?

Does 1.4.7 scan break UK Channel 4 or is it just me?

Symptoms are audio but no video. All other channels are okay.

I seem to recall that I had one of the Advanced options set in previous versions and that this was to fix problems with Channel 4.

Okay ... so it's just me.

Changing the BDA Multiplexor from DVR-MS to TS Mux has fixed recordings ...
but Live TV still gives sound but no video.

I did this ...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogPSIProcessing =2 (DWORD)

and the results for a recording and for a Live TV session are attached (not that I know what any of this means nor if it is relevant).

Fixed it.

I found an old scan cache file that contained ...

... P:8384~V:560~A:561~L:eng~PMT:300 ...

The scan done by 1.4.7 contained ...

... P:8384~V:2451~A:561~L:eng~PMT:300 ...

I edited the tuning_request column in the source_channel_mapping table and changed 2451 to 560 and now all is good using DVR-MS.

I have no idea why the scan picks up the "wrong" value.

This happened to me on several channels when I scanned with 1.4.7, and I fixed it by hand-entering the corrected mappings in the capture source config screen. I've been meaning to do another scan in order to get sub some logs and other diagnostic info, but just haven't gotten to it. Sub has released a scanning patch that may correct this issue, but it hasn't reached the survival guide yet.

1.4.7 has been fine for me but once on the previous version scanning picked up the wrong audio pid info for some reason, like you I had to enter manually...not had any issues since though.

I have this problem with C4 also, wasn't sure if it was me though as its the first time I've ever tried gbpvr.

I can see Bristol from my house. I guess we are both using the Mendip transmitter.

Same video pid problem here Channel 4 on Mendip same pid as you also ITV2 +1 is coming up as ITV. I just changed them in the scan cache files before enabling - trouble is every rescan changes the vid pid back to the wrong one.
Also had to use the new config patch to get audio working and change the psi scan delays from 1 & 15 to 5 & 25 to get any scan result for Mux 1 - Compro Videomate 700 must be slow initialising.

I wonder how many set top box users are not getting all the channels they should - someone said to me "it was easy just pressed the retune button - but why did they have to get rid of the Dave channel?" I recommended he waited a few days and rescan.

I have the same problem w/ channel 4, and I'm in the US using Comcast w/QAM. The same problem also happens w/channel 4 when I remove the cable and use an antenna.

The scanning feature seems to be partly broken in 1.4.7.

The "fix" is to find an old scanlog (if you have one) and correct the channel tuning.

Crystal palace is also listing ITV2+1 as just 'ITV' - definately a broadcast issue as my TV's built-in tuner lists the same. Also noticed a couple of other oddities - a channel found called 'News' and another one with no name - neither channel has anything on it...
