Some of my recordings show an incorrect length on playback. The same length is shown in the OSD and also WMP - I also just scanned one with PVAStrumento and it also shows the wrong length. The recordings playback absolutely fine for the correct time and I can FF/RW all the way through.

The recordings are ones done on Tuner 1 of my PVR500 - the PVR350 ones are always OK and I believe that Tuner2 on the 500 is OK too (I'll do some more tests to confirm that as it's the one that is least used).

Any ideas why this might happen? The only real downside is that if I stop playback after what GB-PVR thinks is the end time, I can't resume from where I left off. It's a minor niggle that would be nice to get to the bottom of.

Cheers,
Brian

Your description of the problem sounds like the PVR500 drivers generate crap timestamps in the MPEG2 stream. I dont manipulate the file during the recording, so the problem must already in the data being produced by the drivers.

Thanks sub, I'll buy that. Just checked and found a recent recording on Tuner 2 which also shows incorrect time but some older recordings from both 500 tuners which show correct timings. I'll blame it on the latest 500 drivers which I installed a few weeks or so ago. I'll try a driver roll-back.

Cheers,
Brian
