How do you actually change the mapping of an existing channel????

I can't seem to get any changes made. "five" has moved from 850000 to 690000 MHZ here, but the database seems to keep the old entry.
A full rescan finds the new frequency, but I can't seem to find a way to use this to update the existing settings.
I have tried "delete mappings" which doesn't seem to do anything.
The status says "mapped".
In the previous version there was a down arrow to open the mapping and you could pick from that - now I can't find it anywhere.

Have you tried the new 1.4.7 config.exe it might remap automatically for you. I can't find sub's post on it but it is available via NMTInstall. Manually remapping with a right mouse click on the map column does still work for me.

Isnt the 'drop down' for remapping just next to the 'Status' that says mapped?

If not, then I am not sure

How did you find this info? Is there a list online somewhere?

I did a "before and after" with the hauppauge scanning tool followed by a DOS FC command ;>)

Checkout the subtle difference between config on my two machines.
I don't seem to be able to grab and move any of the separators.
Any thoughts on getting the missing field back????
Config versions are now the save version (30sep).

edit: I should say that I can get the mapping drop down on the other machine, but not the one I first tried.

It's not that Martin, I ran nmtinstall remove then install gbpvr and it does the same.

It looks like I am getting the problem on my test machine as it is using DVB EPG rather than an external EPG like my production machine. I can duplicate this on the production machine if I add a source that gets its EPG from off the air DVB.

I'll drop a note on the support forum in case sub doesn't scan posts outside of support, although I realise he is on walkabout.

Update:- Setting EPG source temporarily to "none" allows mapping to take place.

I thought I had it all covered... I was going to remote in to one of my GBPVR servers from the office this afternoon and do a rescan - everybody with me so far...?

Except when I tried to connect, both servers were showing "offline since 12:20"... something bad happened.:eek:

A rescan doesn't do anything on its own, from subs update notes, it seems to handle PID changes, but not frequency changes....

- added logic to auto correct the tuning request of any already mapped channels at the end of each scan. Basically if your broadcaster had changed any audio/video pids, you can go into the config app and hit the 'rescan' button, then any channel mappings that match the same frequency and program number will be automatically updated to have the correct PIDs/PMT/PCR etc.

This is what appears to have worked for me ...

I have five DVB-T tuners and all have the same channels.

I did a "Rescan" on one tuner. This picked up the changes. But several channels went back to Audio2 so I corrected those in Config. When I was content with with this one tuner, I exited Config.

I started SQLite (http://www.sqliteexpert.com/download.html).

I copied and pasted the tuning_request column from the source_channel_mapping table for only the channels that appear to have changed (Five, ITV3 and ITV4) from the first tuner to each of the other four.

This way I avoided having to correct the Audio2 problem on each tuner and issues where a weak tuner fails to find a mux.

Edit: I am on a pre-switchover transmitter, channel changes may be different for those who have already switched.

No it doesn't make life easier - but it did show what had changed.
The hauppauge tool just scans the band and writes to a text file what it finds. FC just compares two text files and displays the differences.
