Do you think it would be possible to exit config after just the scanning and edit out all the #2 audio entries from the cache file. Would this stop them appearing in config?? The same happened for me and it is a bit tedious changing them all back each time....

Oh no - not this again! Several weeks ago I had to do a retune and I ended up with the Audio#2 problem. I couldn't find anything on the forums and just sat tinkering into the small hours trying to get things straight. Eventually (somehow) I got the right channels mapped - but can I remember how? NO!
Any advice before I go totally bald?

Is it possible someone in the Crystal Palace service area could share the tuning database (or whatever is required?).

Cheers... Martin

Yes, you can.

I edit the cache file(s) and remove all the crud I'm not interested in - the shopping channels, radio stuff, audio 2, etc...

imilne - can you explain how to edit the cache file - sorry to be dense I'm a bit of an idiot and probably shouldn't be allowed near anything like this!

Never mind - I deleted both tuners, did a full rescan and deleted all mappings before re-selecting the channels. PITA but it seemed to work!

Ah Ha! It may be that the first scan on a newly added source auto-maps correctly but subsequent rescans on the same device auto-maps Audio2 channels.

Now all we need is a volunteer with time enough to do an experiment ...

I found the 'retune' pretty painless - just hit rescan and it picked up the new parameters for channels that have changed. Yes 1.4.7 did automatically put in the 'audio2' channels into some of the mappings, but it was no harder to choose the correct channels (by using the preview window) than any previous version...
However, I do have a strange issue with the new channel Quest - in that if I select it from the guide, the screen blanks for a second then I get dumped back into the guide:confused: However, if I first select another DVB-T channel, say Sky3, and then select Quest, it works fine!
Quest is only available on DVB-T, but it's almost like it's trying to tune to it with my Nova-S2 card instead of the DVB-T card?
These are the tuning parameters for Quest;
T:C32,561834,0,0,8~NID:12293~ONID:9018~TSID:12290~P:14498~V:6929~A:6930~L:eng~PMT:265~LCN:38~PCR:6929~N:>QUEST
(Crystal Palace) - anyone got the same problem?

I can confirm that behaviour - I deleted my capture sources - added them in again, scanned , selected all channels except the audio#2 ones and it worked fine.

Do you know why I have are mulitple cache files? Is it one for each mux or just a numbered history (like the log files)?

Well, my retune was painless, simply 'rescanned' and then remapped the three alterrd channels.

BUT - FIVE is now on a multiple with very poor signal, such that is unwatchable... - Have disabled it and am now only getting the signal from Cable!

At least I only have to wait till 5th December for the full upgrade in our area and improved signal strength Smile
