Hi there,

i bought on e-bay a dvb-t usb stick, but i can't use it with gb-pvr.

It is based on an intel chip. in the device manager it is being shown as Intel CE9500 and on the driver CE6230.

It works fine when i use VLC Player, but i want to use it with my favourite PVR program - GBPVR.

the problem is that hen i tried to install it, i couldn't find it on the digital recievers list, so i tried alot of similiar devices, but none of them work - when i try to scan for channels, the config program crashes.

What should i do?

Here is what sub wrote on the wiki:

This list could be out of date as new cards are being added all the time. If you card is not listed here, but has BDA drivers, then there is a good chance that support for your card can be easily added. In this case run filtercheck.exe from the gbpvr install directory, then in the Hardware forum post the filtercheck.log that gets created and some one will let you know how to add support.

Hope this helps.

I just noticed that there's a new version of gb-pvr, so i installed it, and it has the usb stick that i have on the list.

so i installed it, and mapped the channels. when channel mapping is over, i can even see the channels in the little box on the right.

but when i try to watch the channels all i got is a black screen, sometimes with a message that there is no signal.

Sometimes i evem get a green screen with a very few pixels and than the program uses 50% of the cpu and almost 1gb of RAM.

i installed the correct decoders both for video and audio (tried both coreavc and ffdshow) but it still doesn't work.

this isn't a reception problem, because with another program (VLC) i got a perfect picture.

i'm on WIN7 64Bit version.

Any idea what seems to be the problem?

I thought I had already posted this reply

Anyway....now would probably be a good time to zip & upload your logs after you have tried to watch a channel.

The logs are found in the .\log folder under the GBPVR program directory (usually C:\Program files\devnz\gbpvr\logs\). It may also help if you tell where you live and what provider that broadcast the channels you are trying to tune.

Remember, always attach logfiles when you report a problem related to gbpvr.

i'll remember it next time. i attached the logs to my previous message.

i live in israel. it is a new service by the israeli second authority to TV and Radio, which will replace the old analog broadcast.

From what I'v read in other posts in this forum the win7-64 can be a bit tricky ( haven't tried it myself). Is it possible for you to try the stick on another version of windows?

i had a frw prolems installing the driver, which is not digitally signed, so can't be installed on xp\vista, but i solved it and now the device works great on other programs i tried. unfortunately i have those problems only on GB-PVR, which is the most comfortable and stable program.

i won't be able to check it on another version of windows in the near future Sad
