One for each capture source.

I'm not sure of the exact circumstances, but a retune sometimes starts another CACHE file with the next higher number.

Does it help to look at the capture_source_oid column in the source_channel_mapping table of the GBPVR database?

I seem to have a one to one map between the oid value and the numeric in the cache file name.

Yes, it is the OID in the database by the looks of it. Every time you create a new tuner it tacks it on the end of the list. As it is referred to from a number of other tables, then it would be non-trivial to renumber them.

Quest is only available on DVB-T, but it's almost like it's trying to tune to it with my Nova-S2 card instead of the DVB-T card?

Turns out the Quest channel was checked in the mappings for my sat card! I did not realise that when you add another channel to the XMLTV source, it becomes checked automatically for ALL the tuners - maybe this should not happen? Anyway now I have unchecked it in the sat card mapping screen, it works fine.

I have always assumed this is done on purpose when a new channel shows up in the EPG source. Yes, it makes an untunable channel show up in the TV guide until you go in and map it. But otherwise how would you know about a new channel? And of course GB-PVR can't know which tuners the channel will actually be available on, so it just enables it on all tuners.

Perhaps it should be a configurable option though; I could certainly see if some EPG source is always adding and renaming channels you don't get anyway then having them constantly showing up would be a headache.

Has anyone got a scancache file with all the channels listed here for the Rowridge transmitter (Isle Of Wight).

A little late in the game on this I know, but I did this tonight on 1.3.11.

The process I used was :

1. Copy current cache files to an _old_ folder created in their current location.
2. Perform a rescan for the channels.
3. Associate the newly scanned channels to the EPG.
4. Ok out of all config screens and check out all the channels using MediaMVP.
5. If all is well delete the _old_ folder and the old cache files.

This seemed to work out ok for me but I'm happy to be corrected if this is bad practice.

Has anyone had "ITV" come up in the scan? Not "ITV1", just named "ITV" What is it?
