As I wrote before, for troubles with a specific station, upload your logs and tell me the name of the station if you remember I will see if I can help, even posting the line from C:\temp\lastplayed.csv would be good start.

As for skin errors MixMan will have to answer, I get the mmc errors too.

The mmc errors are nothing of import. Those do not negatively affect anything. They are based on a different skinning scheme that gbpvr just acknowledges and moves on.

First off - this is a great plugin... worked right out of the box on my laptop client.

I installed it on my MVP server and it complained about not being able to find VLC (Logs.zip) - so I installed VLC. After that it would play for a few minutes, then stop although GBPVR was still responsive. I tried it on a local radio station (Logs2.zip) and a net radio station (Logs3.zip) and got the same results.

I also installed on my other MVP server and got the same problem.

I can see stuff in the logs, but I really don't know enough about the protocols involved to figure out what's happening.

I can't play Bauer Radio from Canada but Oldies104.net seems to play ok and was steady for a reasonable time on the PCH
UbuRecorder: KeepAlive: CurrDuration=970 IsPlaying=True

I noticed this message in your logs.

Code:
2009-10-07 23:06:07.929    VERBOSE    [12]    UbuRecorder: Sending TCP request...5->CONT^
2009-10-07 23:06:08.007    ERROR    [12]    UbuRecorder: TCP error: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote

Do you have any firewall that might be getting in the way of local communication between PVRx2 and the UbuRecordingService? If not I guess have to crack out the MVP

I'll check the firewall when I get home - but if it was a firewall problem, would that not stop it from working at all?

ACTCMS, I'm grasping at things right now. Some firewalls rules are smart and do allow bidirectional traffic for a period after connection. The only other things I can think of is that Web Radio does currently only allow one MVP or NMT client simultaneous connection, or the worst case Web Radio doesn't support MLPanel!

Been there, done that, bought the tee-shirt...

I've always tested with just one MVP server autostarted and I've tried with MLPanel enabled and disabled.

I added an exception for UbuRecordingService.exe to the XP firewall but stations still stop after between 2 and 15 minutes. Do I need to open any specific port?

Looks like you might need to get the MVP out after all - go on, you know you want to...

I wonder if there are any others having success with Web Radio 2 via an MVP?

Ok, I blow off the dust and find some batteries. The dest port might be 48888 you can confirm with netstat.

That's the correct port - explicitly opening it makes no difference though.

Sorry ACTCMS, on the MVP everything looks fine for me, I'll let it keep on playing but the logs show 1380 seconds.
