Thanks for your efforts - I'll spend some time over the weekend trying out UbuRadio - see if I can get that to work first...

I can't see how getting UbuRadio working would help, I did a lot of testing of virtual machines that were raw GBPVR and Web Radio.

Meanwhile

Code:
2009-10-08 20:08:30.576    VERBOSE    [12]    UbuRecorder: KeepAlive: CurrDuration=2675 IsPlaying=True
2009-10-08 20:08:30.701    VERBOSE    [7]    Request 36200 bytes (file size:64493818   file location: 64182600)

I can see it's working for you...:p but it's not working for me...Sad

I really don't know what's under the hood of most of this internet media stuff - if I play with UbuRadio or even Web Radio1, at the very least I'll learn something about it and there's always a chance I'll get to the bottom of the problem...Big Grin

I'm glad (maybe that should be sad for you Alex?) to say I just finished installing it on my development PC & after letting uburecordingservice & vlc through my firewall it appears to be working fine on my NMT, I haven't tried it on the MVP yet as swapping servers for them is much more of a pain to do than for the NMT.

Martin are you planning on allowing it to work on more than one NMT/MVP in the future? In the past I have had NetRadio running on three MVP's at the same time & would like to be able to use WebRadio the same Wink

I haven't decided on a roadmap yet, but I a reluctant to push this until I look deeper into UbuStream and video transcoding.

Sonic 102.9 plays fine for me with vlc and with Winamp, which is going to make debugging this a bit of a challenge. Are you still using vlc 0.9.9, I use 1.02?

Another file to upload (when using VLC) is C:\temp\vlc.log or with the MVP/NMT, GBPVR\Plugins\UbuStream\UbuNetStreamPlayer.VLC.log

Thanks and don't worry or rush to upload I will take these links as they come in. I am still learning what questions to ask but my goal to play every internet radio is long term!

The WebRadio plugin is great! I can find and listen to tons of stuff, install was very easy.

The only issue(s) I have is that I cannot create favorites - when I hit the "Add Favourites" left menu item nothing happens, and if I try to go to "My Radio Favorites" WebRadio exits to the main GBPVR menu.

Also, if I try to edit, either by hitting the "Edit" left menu item or by running "MyRadioEditor.exe" outside of gbpvr, I get an error message saying "Could not open/create the default menu file C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Media\WebRadio\MyRadioStations.xml" and it's true, no such file exists.

Not sure if these items are related, but maybe. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Derek

Oops, I made a change to the menu which caused the menu or mouse to not work but the Ctrl-K or the Record Button should still work. I will be doing another update today where this will be fixed. The default file is C:\Temp\MyRadioStations.xml but can be changed

<MyRadioFile>C:\somewhere\MyRadioStations.xml</MyRadioFile>

That's MixMan's to look into. Because it isn't Vista or Win7 aware I didn't look at it, but there is a lot of resistance to GBPVR being made Vista friendly in general.

Looking at the messages if you add this config.xml entry

<MyRadioStations>.\media\MyRadioStations.xml</MyRadioStations>

and have the correct file permissions, the editor works.

This installed ok for me, and I can navigate the menus etc., but radio stations won't play. It says "loading the station", then the MVP resets. My logs are attached. It sounds like a great plugin, so I would love to try and get this working if you have time to help.
