Lately, while watching a recording on my MVP, my computer would enter sleep mode in the middle of a recorded show....Anyone had similar experience and know how to correct. GB-PVR log does not say anything about it..Going into sleep mode was working fine for months..the only thing different that I did recently was to re-install the GB-PVR software with the same updated version 9.112b so I can fix my recording status panel...when I click on the GBPVR tray icon, a listing appear with 6 capture sources stating the same thing: Tuner 1..When I attempt to close the panel, it crashes and I have to shut down the GBPVR tray icon..scheduled recordings still work in the background...By the way, reinstalling did not help..

Using latest version of GB-PVR, BlueMCE2 skin, dual PVR 150, Latest beta version of MVP software and Winxp.

I'm having a similar problem with my screen is blanking out but I can still hear audio. I can't bring the screen back on using the standard wake up procedure. I think it may be caused by the power management settings on the MB. Another poster on my thread seems to think the same thing. I have changed some of the settings and am running the program to see if it helps. You may be having a very similar issue. The motherboard may not recognize the operation of the program and cards and therefore goes to sleep, shuts off the display, powers down the HDD, etc.

Umm. I think this maybe the screensaver kicking in. Go into your power settings and disable the screensaver and the power settings for the disk and the screen. It cannot hibernate or stanby whilst you are watching a show as there is disk activity. Usualy the problem is getting it to hibernate. However I have seen it hibernate whilst browsing the programme guide. Thats a different story though

@ Darx-starz:
I had is go stanby while browsing the TV Guide too. You say 'it's a different matter', but is it a solved matter? Can you point me to a thread about this (standby while browsing tvguide) issue?

Thanks,

in some BIOSses (<-- err..?) you can define if disk activity should be watched by the power management...

maybe this is turned off in your bios? should be somewhere in the power management section if any...
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

No, my bios doesn't have this option. It has option for wake up from PCI card or something and the rest of the options are wake from ps/2 keyboard and wake from ps/2 mouse nothing else. Its only config is to select S3 or S1. S3 is selected, and the system goes to standby quite nicely even when I use my Hauppauge 34-key remote to browse the TV guide.

Any other hints?

Thanks,
GGF
