i use it for playing now.one extra bonus your screensaver gave me is that when using the caller id plugin if a call came in it would interupt the vascreensaver and the screensaver would not kick back in. your screensaver does!

I came across this plugin over the weekend and thought it sounded great so I went ahead and downloaded it. But I am having trouble with the initial install. I have copied the MLPanel folder to my plugins folder and the Blue folder to my Skins folder per the documentation. However when I start Config it doesn't appear in the list of Plugins. Is there anything else that I need to look at?

Thanks

Can you open config, then close it and then zip and attach your config.exe.log and Interfaces.dll.log (you'll find it in Plugins\MLPanel) please.

I've attached the config.exe.log but couldn't find the interfaces.dll.log file (which I expect is part of the problem). I can see from the log it is compaining about missing Interfaces.

I use MusicLibrary2 so I didn't think I needed to install the interfaces.dll file but maybe I do?

Thanks

Ahh my bad. I'm using the straight Music plugin and not MusicLibrary2 as I thought. I'll download interfaces.dll and I'm sure that'll fix the problem. Sorry to waste your time.

Did that fix it for you?

Hi ACTCMS,
I had a go at using this plugin - all loaded up fine; I've also installed the patch you released late last year so it can run with Slick skin.

But, I can't seem to get the slideshow feature to work. I have added my own photo directory to the .xml file, but the only slideshow that is running is pictures from my gbpvr/media/MediaArt/Default directory.
I've checked the log file and it shows the photo slideshow directory is set as D:\My Pictures.
BTW, i did not use "" quotes around my photo directory in the config file - not sure if this is required.

Yes that's right the "" are not required. What happens if when you have it running in slideshow mode you press the CH up/down remote or page up/down on the keyboard? It should then go to the first/last photo in that folder & on the next press change the folder it is displaying from. If that doesn't get it working I would think ACTCMS will ask for your logs.

Hi Jaggy, yeah i tried to start the slideshow with Ctrl-Y (yellow button on the mce remote). But the picture stayed the same; i.e, pix of the remote with instructions for MLPanel.
I did press the CH up/down button a couple of times - no effect.
But changing views using left/right worked well.
I only have a master directory (d:\my pictures) with lots of subfolders - each folder has 1gig+ photos.
So maybe the plugin is having problems loading all those photos?!
BTW, some of these subfolders have video files in them too.

Anyway, i will see if i can collect a set of logs from the plugin for ACTCMS.

It may indeed be the volume of photos which is causing a problem. I'm not sure what you mean by 1gig+ photos though - is that referring to the number of photos or the the size of the folder?

Could you start MLPanel, leave it for about a minute then Yellow Button, then leave it for another minute, then stop it and compress and post your Interfaces.dll.log and I'll see what I can find.
