I'm 80% ure I've seen this on this forum previously, but just can't find the magic word to find it...

Whenever I open Preferences an installer process starts. It canot complete so I stop it at the end.
It says "Please wait, until Windows configures GBPVR"
The it asks for the GBPVR09912.msi file, which I've downloaded and tried to use, but no luck.

It starts again, and sometimes again.

This is when the preferences oen and everything seems to work perfecty - it is just annoying.

GBPVR 1.4.7, Windows XP SP3,

Usually when Window decides to do this, it'll put a message in the Windows Event Viewer saying why.

Can't recognize the following: '{DEAFFC55-9C16-4B14-98BD-8A434DC89F90}' product, 'Complete' service, '{E305F94D-0D74-43B8-8B1C-F81E3EAE1E84}' part. Resource ('C:\Documents and Settings\Kovács P. Gábor\Start Menu\Programs\GB-PVR\') Does not exist.

Is it possible, that it looks for something in the Start menu?

I moved GPVR to a sub folder, but based on this I moved it back to start menu root and message disappeared.

Good as a workaround, but any idea how to fix his?

Looks like its saying you removed the start menu item (tray app), and it doesnt like it.

I'm not really sure how you'd repair it, short of reinstalling.
