Due to a "minor" [Image: sad.gif] injury i've been off work today (and for some time to come i imagine), and whilst being thoroughly hacked off with not being able to use GBPVR because of no channel listings, i decided to write my own listing grabber.

It's a bit quick and dirty and only grabs one days of program listings (because that's all the site seems to list at a time!Wink and writes it out as an xmltv file.

It currently takes about 10mins to grab and process the listings for 142 UK channels, so it's not too slow.

If anyone is interested mail/pm me and i'll put it somewhere where you can download it along with instructions on how to use it.

Chris.

TVxk seems to be grabbing listings still, I have it pulling listings on a pc for testing purposes. I believe I posted the link on this site in a previous post so until they fix xmltv you could try it.

I've had a couple of people ask about this and have sent them links to where it can be downloaded from so far. But, if you are interested in having a play with it, here is a direct link to it: Download UKTVGrabber.zip

You will need to download and unzip the file, then run the setup program.

If you have any problems / queries please let me know and i'll try to sort them out.

Thanks,

Chris.

Ive been lookng at this forum hopefully becaus im suspicious of the BLEB listings. Last week it showed 'The Sopranos' as being 5 minutes long and '6 Feet Under' as being on after (when it fact it wasnt it was 'The Sopranos' throughout).

Has anyone else noticed weird things like that in the UK? or is it just a one off?

Right, I have fixed the program description being converted to uppercase and also removed the blank line that was appearing above it as well.

You can download the updated version from the same link above. Installation is the same as before, but remove the old version first.

Many Thanks,

Chris.
