I'd like to start by saying I doubt this is a problem with EWA, but more likely my lack of networking knowledge... Smile

I've set up GB-PVR successfully on one machine (called CEEFAX). I can access it using the IP address:

http://10.0.0.4:7647/gbpvr

but I cannot access it using the computer name:

http://CEEFAX:7647/gbpvr

I just get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage", however the interesting thing is that if I use:

http://CEEFAX:7647/

I get "Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application." so it must be seeing it?!?!

I'm sure it's something simple that I'm just not getting it Sad Any help, gratefully appreciated...

Have you added it to Windows' firewall exceptions? An step easy to overlook (although, if you're getting that error, that port supposedly open and accepting connections)

Edit: I had that error this morning... my main windows+recordings hard drive was out of space (literaly 0 bytes left) and EWA refused to work... I had to manually free some space and then restart the Recording System to get it working again.

This is probably because of your gbpvr pc not broadcasting its name, or your router not having it (read your manual you may be able to manual enter the PC name in your router against your MAC address)....or the router having it but it has an old IP address associated to it.....try rebooting the router.

That would be expected.....your not hitting a valid site that is being hosted....you need the :7647/gbpvr/ to get to the site that is hosted.

You could also set the name up in your host file on your local machines....do you know how to do that?
